Meet the team!
Behind KLIMA° vor acht e.V. is a team of volunteers with diverse backgrounds and from all regions of Germany. What unites us is our aim to champion high-quality climate journalism and, in doing so, to work towards better climate protection and a resilient society.
Our Board
We elect our board at the General Meeting. The last election took place in June 2026.

“For me, the media play a key role in climate communication: they help shape how we perceive the climate crisis and how we, as a society, discuss (or fail to discuss) solutions for mitigation and adaptation. Besides my duties on the board, I’m part of the press team and handle interview requests, for example.”

“I manage and run our Instagram channel together with the social media team. I’m committed to this because, through constructive and accessible communication on climate issues, we can inspire people to take effective action to protect the foundations of our lives.”

“Much of what we know about the world comes from the mass media. I am convinced that ongoing, constructive climate reporting – covering both causes and solutions – can drive social change. As treasurer, I am responsible for the accounts and various organisational tasks within our association.”
