Would you like to provide a platform for good climate journalism and climate coverage, and are you looking for an expert who can speak authentically and passionately about the media and the climate crisis? Then you’ve come to the right place.
We are passionate about what we do; we want to raise awareness and encourage debate. Whenever there are critical voices, it is especially important to use sound arguments to persuade people and win over new supporters to our cause.

Past events to which we have contributed
TEDx Stuttgart
Dr Norman Schumann, spokesperson and co-founder of KLIMA° vor acht, gave a talk with the title ‘Why the climate crisis should be on the telly every day’ on 21 October 2023 at the TEDxStuttgart event at the SpardaWelt in Stuttgart. The title sums up the initiative’s message: the climate crisis belongs on daily television. A recording of the talk is available on YouTube.
PRIO1 – The Climate Network
KLIMA° vor acht organised two climate journalism events at the Mathematikon in Heidelberg in collaboration with PRIO1: in 2024, ‘Climate Journalism as a Profession’ (keynote by Rahel Roloff, workshops) and in 2026, ‘Climate Journalism after 1.5°’ (featuring Elisa Miebach, amongst others). The focus was always on fact-based, solution-oriented climate coverage.
Sustainability and Procurement Summit
At the 2026 Sustainability Summit in Hamburg, Dr Norman Schumann, spokesperson and co-founder of KLIMA°, took to the Main Stage to deliver a talk with the title ‘Sustainability needs the media – and the media need sustainability’. The title sums it up perfectly: the two are interdependent.
